'living is learning' is a blog about learning for learning's sake and using learning to live better, whatever 'better' means for you. As someone who has loved learning all his life, I thought a blog to encourage learning might just be a good idea - so here it is. I've included items with a broader reading of 'learning' too.
At 67, I'm retired from teaching adults and do private consultancy and training work. I do a lot of reading and writing and have been asked to start a blog to pass on some of the information that I have collected and developed over the years. Never tiring of learning I find myself continuously doing courses of one kind or another, mostly the wonderful ones that one can now get free of charge on the internet. I uswed to run a quiz every Wednesday in my local pub and wrote over 700. It's a lovely way to meet people, have a little fun and also to learn something new each week. I find I learnt just as much as do the folk answering the questions. I recommend quizzes to anyone who just enjoys knowing things.
